If your contractor isn’t doing the following items, ask yourself, “Why am I hiring them?”
Permits
We pull permits for all jobs that we install. We will not work for other companies or projects unless they also pull a permit. Following local building regulations covers everyone, and the cost is minimal compared to the headaches involved in not having your work permitted.
Lead Testing
Lead testing is mandatory for all properties built before 1978 per the EPA. We are Lead Safe Certified, and have a specialist on staff. Ask your contractor if they are as well.
Employees
All of our workers, foremen, project coordinators and office personnel are employees. None of our crews are sub-contractors. This allows us control of our installation process to be done the Specialty Siding way, the right way.
Sales People
We don’t have them. Period. No three hour sales presentations to put you to sleep. All estimations are done like any other construction trade. Our Project coordinators will arrive to your home to assess your needs, concerns, and questions.
Pricing
All pricing is set in the office, and no matter what your zip code, the price is the same. We won’t ask you to sign a contract the day our project coordinators are at your home. We will present you a formal bid within 48-72 hours, and will not move forward with a contract until you are ready. There is no pressure to sign a contract, never, never ever.
Workmanship
Our workmanship is above all, and manufacturers and builders have taken notice. Some of the most well known builders in Orange County call us directly to install for their projects. We work for the Big Box Stores as well as the smallest repairs.

We get it, home renovations can be a frustrating and nerve-racking experience. We work hard to make sure we provide the best craftsmanship, service and transparent processes to our clients. With Specialty Siding, rest assured, you’re going to be taken care of and will understand each step of the process from purchase to a completed job.
PROJECTS

Initial Appointment & Estimate
Set a time for us to meet, learn what you want and gather details needed to provide you with an estimate. You’ll be meeting with one of our experienced estimators, and not a salesperson. The estimator will take measurements, assess your needs and can answer any questions about the process. After exploring your siding options and making selections, we will then create a formal estimate based on your job’s specifications. You will receive the estimate along with a project rendering (if applicable) within 2-3 working days after your initial appointment.
Everything we provide at this point is strictly informational. We won’t ask you to finalize a contract until you indicate that you’re ready to move forward with us and there will never, ever be any pressure from us to rush you along.

Contract & Pre-Construction
Once you’ve approved of your estimate and we’ve agreed upon all of your project details we will then send you a contract. It will clearly spell out all of the details of your job, including a payment schedule, and an approximate job start date and the permitting process. Specialty Siding is a professionally licensed construction company, and as such we ensure that each of our jobs is properly permitted. We follow this rule even for jobs where we are not the primary contractor. Permits are a minimal expense and protect you and the companies working on your property.
We also provide lead testing, which is mandatory for all properties built before 1978. We follow this protocol and are an EPA Lead-Safe Certified contractor with a lead testing specialist on staff to perform required lead testing.

Construction & Finished Project
Once we’ve signed a contract and performed our pre-job work, we’ll then reach out to set an official job start date that fits your schedule. Our all-employee crew will only work on your project from 8am – 4pm, Monday to Friday. Our team is made up of skilled craftsmen that install siding and window products correctly the first time and take pride in their work. Our process and attention to detail have been noticed by manufacturers and some of the most well-known builders in Orange County, who have even called on us to install their projects.
When we complete the work on your house, we’ll perform a final job-site inspection with you, ensuring all work has been performed to your satisfaction and that you have a finished job that you can be proud of for years to come.
